My Ambition

November 10th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

Commandomedalfront_copy_copy

Today I went to kursus kahwin. I woke up in quite a drag because it was a Saturday morning. Realizing that this is about my wedding, its about my future with my beloved future wife, I jumped up energized from my bed with a wide smile on my face. So indeed it was a great morning with a nasi lemak and a mug of nescafe.

In the afternoon, suddenly I felt very sore on my shoulder. Maybe because of the gym last Tuesday. Last nite I attended gathering at Razi’s place. We took pictures and I finally realized my biceps and triceps are getting bigger, and so do my shoulder.

When I was a kid, my father used to watch "Nam:The tour of duty". It was about the war between America and Vietnam located at Vietcong. Eventhough the America was defeated in the war, they manage to show themselves as heroes in the TV show. Damn.

Then there was Commandos starring Arnold Shwarzenegger, and Rambo starring Sly Stallone.

And dude, believe me, there are period in my life especially in my 8 years that I want to be a soldier. As a cute naughty kid, I was honored to see my drawing of a soldier in action being on display in my classroom.

Nice.

When I was in university, I want to be an engineer. But in heart, I want to be an army engineer. I never have any chance of making that reality. I was underweight during my second year until I met Dexter Alester, a very tough guy.

He taught me, it’s not about the food that will make your weight increase. It’s about your body’s request. Taking this chance, do gym workout so your body will request food to beautify your physique.

So I started to go to gym. I finally gained weight.

Why I still going to gym? After all, my heartbeat is at normal? I’m pretty sure this must have to do with my ambition during my childhood, my cute childhood…To be a soldier.

I am now, determined to be a soldier at heart. Aiming to be a Commando one day perhaps. And if, only if I cannot be a commando, I aim to be like them in terms of physical-being and also the toughness of mind-body relationship.

I start with my body in parallel with my mind training.

Interview with Encik Ultraman

September 30th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

Ahh..Just sit back and enjoy this post =D

Recently I met up with my idol
Ultraman in Tokyo, Japan, the city he has saved many times over from evil, destructive monsters. We met at an intersection downtown, bought drinks from a vending machine and sat on the kerb for this interview.
Me: Konichiwa, Ultraman-san!
Ultraman: Apa khabar, Visiteur-san!

Ultraman

Me: Wow! Ultraman reti cakap bahasa?
Ultraman: Mesti lah, beb! Gua ada ramai peminat di seluruh dunia. Gua kena lah belajar macam-macam bahasa.

Me: Cool! So, what you been up to, dude?
Ultraman: A bit tired. Fought a monster last night in ***ushima prefecture. We fought until we reached the seaside in Hamadori. A lot of people died.

Me: The monster killed so many?
Ultraman: Actually, gua terjatuh and terhimpit diorang.

Me: Er, I see. Banyak lagi ke monster kat dunia ni?
Ultraman: Ada lah. Tapi diorang dah malas nak lawan. Dah ada agent and publicist. Merchandising rights. Suma lawan nak dapat market share je. Boring lah, beb!

Me: I see. So camne brader-brader lu? Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Taro .. ?
Ultraman: They all OK. Tiga dah bersara. Sekarang dia bukak restoran sushi kat Shinjuku. Bini dia baru beranak.

Me: Wow!
Ultraman: Yeah. Bini dia makhluk Bumi. So at first, family gua bantah, sebab we all boleh kahwin ngan orang Planet Ultra je. But thank the Ultra-Gods, my father, Ultraman yang bertanduk tu, finally gave his blessings. Cucu dia tu bertanduk jugak, so happy lah dia.

Me: What about Taro?
Ultraman: Taro tengah buat multi-level marketing jual ubat untuk kuatkan tenaga batin.

Me: Eh, naper Ultraman suma tak nak jadi superhero lagi?
Ultraman: Tu lah. Nowadays terlalu ramai superhero. Gaban lah, Power Ranger lah, ni lah, tu la. Yang paling teruk si Baja Hitam tu lah. Lawan cam pondan tapi marketing power dia kuat. Sebab tu boleh jadi popular. I always say, never trust superhero yang bawak motosikal, superhero yang pakai topeng pelik-pelik. We all Ultramen don’t need all that cosmetic shit.

Me: Wow, marahnya Ultraman.
Ultraman: Siapa tak marah? Bagero! Superhero ciplak ni suma tak original lah. And they all no integrity or morals. Last week, I dengar Gaban kena tangkap ngan gadis bawah umur. You see?

Me: Man, that is sad.
Ultraman: Tu lah. That’s why kalau tak Ultra, memang tak world lah.

Me: Wuhu! Lu peminat Mawi ke?
Ultraman: Adalah sikit-sikit.

Me: So, Ultraman, what’syour future plan? You going to give up being a superhero too?
Ultraman: No way. I love my job too much. But my girlfriend complains that I work such long hours. And when I come home at night, I’m always tired and my chest light is always beeping.

Me: Woooo! Sounds like you might need some of that ubat from your brader Taro.
Ultraman: Good idea! I better give him a call tonight.

At this point, Ultraman receives a distress call from Yokohama, where a monster is attacking the train station. So off he went, into the blue yonder, to fight yet another worthy adversary. World!"

Our Brain’s Language

September 18th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

Lots of theories on how our brain works. Its everywhere. A gray-matter jelly-looking organ, works with the presence of oxygen but can be toxicated by excessive oxygen resources.

Now, the main issue is performance. If everybody have this lovely yummy looking organ, why did not averybody is a genius? Why we have over-achievers? Why we have losers? And my friend Nizom really hates Idiots  so much.

Brain_tree_1

The fact is, brain has its own language. In concious, not everybody have the ability to communicate with their brain to tap the high-peak performance level.

Do you ever feel so happy, looking forward for an occasion? You might use your imagination for the occasion that you are eager with, in such a way that makes your body feel the vibrance. Suddenly you feel very happy and nothing can stop you from being happy. Suddenly you forget that boring routine in your life just enjoying this incredible feeling?

Our brain communicates trough crisp imagination. Nothing can surpass the ability of our brain to shoot the hormones that makes we high. People use drugs to change their state, from boredom to joy, from feeling tired to fully energetic, from blurry state to being focused and so on.

We can alter our disempowering state using empowering imagination. By performing a clear desired event in our mind, such the colours, the sounds, the air, the scent of any incredible event, we are sending signals to our brain to cope with the situation with proper hormones that can enhance any of our desired emotion.

The key of handling emotions, fatigueness, creating empowering beliefs is to control your state.

In order to control our state, is to learn our brain’s language. Do this everyday, and this will be a great habit. Practise make perfect.

It was long that humans never need the support of drugs, because we can trigger the medicine for ourselves.

All the best, and live with passion!!!

My Success Journal: A Day In A Life of My Future

September 12th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

It’s 6 am in the morning when I woke up, I opened the window facing the sea. Mild breeze of fresh air fill in my breath… What a nice day.

7 a.m , waiting for the newspaperboy, I fixed some breakfast for my wife, with a nice Mozart song in filling my dining room. The laptop already powered up to receive private e-mails regarding the orders for seminars, lectures and next week tours. Relax, wait until I finish my breakfast.

8.30 am, after a chit chat with my wife, my kids already at school, and the time to check out the stocks. It has been a long journey trading in Bursa Malaysia. The ups and downs of Malaysia’s economic bumps is already recorded in my brain. Some stocks have to be sold. It’s a golden era for the Palm Oil stocks since I have been predicting this in 2007. Thank you for the Crisis Period Investing Techniques that I studied last 15 years.

11 am, again in my Success Lab. My staff are working very hard to achieve our missions. The team consists of psychologists, writers, marketing experts, artists, corporate leaders, technical staffs, IT staffs are already waiting for me in the board room. Hmm…What’s next? Yes, a new symbol of excellence..Aha…

3.00 pm, my secretary already confirmed the next tour for my business trips and seminars. I asked my secretary to call some of the tycoons for a meeting. I have a big property to buy. A piece of an island to build my own camp. I have already ordered the HR Manager to hire some of great speakers as a freelance in my next project.

6.00 pm, In my semi-globe office at home, reading some pages to refresh my mind regarding the old profound knowledge collected years ago. Hmm… What’s next? Transport and forwarding? New jet for rent? Aha, maybe new military camp? It’s good to have diary. You’ll never believe what have happened to me years ago that brought me up to this point.

8.00 pm, dinner with my wife, my kids. What a moment… Thank you Siti Nor Khadijah for being so wonderful… I love u so much…

10 pm, final call for the managers and staffs for the night shift. They better be good. They are the best I hired. I want to make sure all my car workshop, my printing department, accessory factories working smoothly eventhough I am not there.

I never mentioned when did I sleep…Rite? Let that be a mystery…I sleep 5 hours every night. And after 12 is my own private time… Good night fellows..

My Success Journal: From Grace Period To Prime Time

September 8th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

Little that we know about the answer for the question of life, "Why".It can goes like "Why on earth I am driving a 1970 Mazda 323 and that old rusty guy driving a Mercedes SLK?". Or "Why I am not as happier as other people?", or as simple as "Why I am writing this?".

Last Friday afternoon I was struck with the Mercedes question as I were driving my red MyVi. I felt quite red and I tried to take a deep breath and relax…and then my inner voice whispered softly, it says, "You can get what ever you want in life, as long as you can pay for that". Voila!! And I smiled. Suddenly I felt very comfortable with myself saying that I yet to achieve complete gratitude for myself.

This concept came back to the art of Give and Take. In life, it is illogical juct to take anything before giving anything first. Take the example of a quarry entrepreneur that gave his 20 years of life working and building his quarry company before he can have the privilege to buy great cars, the privilege to go anywhere anytime, the privilege to buy anything that he wanted and give it all to his family. Or an example of a great leader that offers himself to lead the country, which means that he is giving himself, so the privileges also come to him exponentially and effortlessly.

Last Friday afternoon was a hot burning Friday, but I smiled alone with a silly grin. I took a corner with deep oxygenated breath, my heart is calm while my inner voice softly whispering,"…expect a grace period to get yourself ready for prime time.."

My Success Journal: A bad day turnaround

September 5th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

It was a rainy day, the night was dark and the traffic move slowly due to the hard rain pouring from the dark sky, I just came back from work, a bad day trying to catch the deadline alive, with disempowering thought living in because of fatigue. I drove trough a slippery road to find out the road was closed due to minor flood. I tried another road with additional bruise in my heart. I drove alone with wet clothes, and I cant speed up on Federal Highway because it was so dark and other cars lighten up their emergency lamp.

At last, home sweet home, wet, pathethic and sad.

As I walk trough the door, I smell the aroma of nice cooking. It’s my father cooking in the kitchen wearing the Canterbury shirt that I bought last trip to Australia. "Waaaaa!!! Abah masak iye? Fui Yoooo!!!" I laughed happily for this rare event.

Then we all sat together, me,my father, my mother and my two little brothers, all chit-chatting happily having dinner. Laughing, telling stories, listened to each other day’s experience. And the dinner went so good although my father’s cooking was a bit salty, hahaha, sori abah =D

It was a GREAT dinner that fixed my day, and I’ve already forgotten how bad my day was after all.

I love my family, I pray that I shall raise mine as perfect as what my parents mold us..

Multidisciplinary Design Optimization for Human Being

August 14th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

Do you ever wonder, how perfect is a perfect human?
As a man, is it very necessary to have a six-pack?
As a woman, is it compulsory to be thin as magazine’s super models?
As a student, is it enough just to own all straight A’s without any sport ability?
As a teacher, is it OK to just teach 8 to 5 just to fill in the bank account?

24179sperfectionposters

As a refresher, Multidisciplinary Design Optimization is a branch of knowledge that interested to optimize all aspects of design of a subject. For example, if the subject is a car, the discipline involved in it is the aerodynamics, weight, maneuverability, fuel consumption, and size. If the weight is to be reduced, the size must be logic for a human to drive it. As a human have to drive it, maneuverability is a very big subject depending the class or ways on how the car will be driven. All aspect must be perfected so the car is logic, functioning and…it’s a car..

Back to human…How perfect we must be? What kind of diet is a perfect diet? What is the amount of sleep that will suffice our need? What kind of friend that we must surround ourselves with? And many more aspects in life that need to be optimized in order to be a great human.

The greatest human so far,all the time is The Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And our journey is long to follow his example, nevertheless, it’s worth it.. You worth it..

The dark side of being a super-achiever..

August 11th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

Affajepun

Ever wonder what it feels like when you don’t have any options? Feeling down when you feel that nobody is giving a cool head, appreciation for all the hardwork and effort that you have shown them for a long-long time just to say that you can fit in?

What if you have too many options that sometimes it is compulsory for you to choose only one in your life? In retrospective point of view, so this will seem like you are back to square-one…Without any options, right?

"Mr F…3 months working for new product development in Japan. Ok ka?" said my Boss imitating a Japanese English accent…

I have worked so hard to express that I can fit in to any situation, any workscope that they throw me into. Providing me with time, I proved them all that I can also be as best as they can be, maybe even better. I have other options, but I already stepped in, so why stop?

Prioritize.

We’ll see what will develop. If I have to go to Japan, I shall give them smooth talk that I can’t..Because the timing will overlap my wedding on January. Furthermore, I have to do lot’s of preparatory preliminary paperwork for me to continue PhD together with my spouse.

The dark side of being a super-achiever…Once you get up the step in the pyramid of achievement, sometimes you will lose your space…

Elimination Creature

August 6th, 2007 by faisal-ayob

Are we awake? Are we concious with the world that surrounding us?

When you are walking down a street, or doing any routine activities, do you realize anything that is green in colour? Or do you ever noticed that the man that walking besides of you are wearing a Manchester United jersey? What is that car’s plate numbers of that Mercedes?

We are ‘elimination creatures’. We never realize things that we are not focusing to. When we are brushing our teeth, we think about our plan of the day, or anything that currently echoing in our mind. It’s ok. It’s healthy. You dont want to focusing on the sounds of your bloodflow in your left ear arent you?

Success_key

Nah, now we have one ot the Keys of Success. Focus. You will get what you are focusing on. Same as when you focus on the sound of your heart beats, every moment without you realize it…
